It has been a hugely successful night for BMW at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2023. Picking up three coveted awards – Best Coupé (BMW 4 Series ), Best Convertible (BMW 4 Series Convertible) and Best Technology (BMW i7). And BMW received the most awards of all manufacturers.

SUCCESS FOR 'SUMPTUOUS' BMW i7.

The new all-electric BMW i7 made its mark on the night, being described as having a “sumptuous interior, fantastic refinement, long range and superb ride and handling balance”. Steve Huntingford, Editor, What Car? continued: “the BMW i7 is a fabulous car to travel in, whether you’re driving or being driven. In fact, we think it’s the best electric luxury car on sale.” Huntingford also stated, "The What Car? Technology Award celebrates game-changing technology, and the Theatre Screen in the BMW i7 is exactly that, revolutionising in-car infotainment.”

DOUBLE SUCCESS FOR THE BMW 4 SERIES.

For a third consecutive year, the BMW 4 Series Coupé retained its ‘Coupé of the Year’ status, praised as being a “great all-rounder” for its ability to combine class-leading agility with a comfortable ride. The “classy” BMW 4 Series Convertible also impressed, with What Car? judges saying that “It’s truly a car for all seasons.” What's more, judges said, "A great convertible should allow its driver to enjoy open-top thrills when the weather permits, but still be comfortable, engaging and easy to live with when the sun isn't playing ball. And the 4 Series Convertible absolutely delivers.”
