The BMW Golf Cup International, now in its 37th year, is the largest and one of the most successful global golf series for amateurs. With over 100,000 participants worldwide, the climax of the 2017 tournament took place in South Africa with 50 nations competing for the coveted team title.

The United Kingdom tournament consists of seven geographically spread Regional Finals held at some of the most prestigious golf courses in the UK and culminates with a two-day National Final in St Andrews.

Players participating at Regional Finals will experience unrivalled BMW hospitality at some of the finest golf courses in the United Kingdom.
Play on the day will be Individual Stableford over 18 holes and qualifiers to the National Final will be taken from three categories: Men A (0-12 handicap), Men B (13-28 handicap) and Ladies (0-28 handicap). There will also be a team competition running on the day and a chance to win the Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive or Putting Competitions. The leading players from each category will go on to compete at the National Final.

The UK tournament culminates with a two-day National Final in St Andrews. The National Final will be held over the stunning Castle Course, with accommodation at the award winning Old Course Hotel, overlooking the renowned 17th Road Hole and the historic town of St Andrews.
Whilst finalists ‘do battle’ on the golf course, players’ partners will have the opportunity to participate in the Host and Guest competition, take advantage of the non-golfers’ programme, or simply relax and enjoy the Hotel and Spa facilities.

The World Final, which brings together golfers from over 50 countries, is a fitting climax to this international event. The winner from each of the three categories at the National Final will form the BMW UK team and will compete against other golfers from around the globe for the national team title. For the lucky winners we can guarantee five days of intense competition, friendly rivalry and the opportunity to make many new friends at a world-class International venue.
