It's time to prepare yourself and your BMW for bigger adventures. With this in mind, we have put together a selection of handy tips and expert advice for longer journeys, so you can avoid any nexpected stops and enjoy the ride.
Tyre pressure needs to be just right. So if the pressure is too high, let some air out. If it's lower, inflate them. If you are unsure of correct pressure levels for your BMW, there should be a black sticker on the inside of the driver's door with the details you need. Or, check your Owner's Manual or iDrive where you can match your tyre size to the recommended pressure level.
Check for wear and take a look at the tyre's tread. The best and most accurate way to do this is by using a depth gauge (there are a lot if inexpensive options online). BMW recommends a minimum depth of 3mm. Anything below this affects the braking and cornering of your vehicle.
It's much easier to do this with another person's help, so they can stand back and check the lights while you flick the switches. If one of your lights isn't working, don't worry. it's a quick and easy fix. For assistance with this, please get in contact with your local BMW Service Centre here.
