The chassis number on a UK (right-hand drive) car is located at the base of the windscreen on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The last 17 digits of the chassis number are usually all that’s required for anyone to identify your BMW.
The chassis number can also be found on the V5c (registration document) and under the bonnet of the vehicle stamped / printed near the top of the suspension mounting.
All chassis numbers (bonnet, windscreen and V5c) should be identical.
