Coronavirus Update – Impact of plant production shutdowns on customer deliveries.

Due to the rapidly evolving coronavirus pandemic we have taken the difficult decision to cease production at our European and South African vehicle production plants for four weeks. This decision is the culmination of a number of factors that are affecting the automotive industry at this time, namely the protection of the health and well-being of our employees, the potential for disruption to our suppliers and a decline in global market demand.

This decision will have an impact on the delivery of customers’ vehicles which have not yet been built and entered our logistics system.  Once we are aware of the new production plan, and our car plants start to re-open, we will schedule customer orders as soon as possible. In the meantime if your vehicle has already been built, it will be delivered to you, but this is of course dependent on ports and borders remaining open. We recommend that you please keep in touch with your retailer centre who will have the latest information on when you can expect to take delivery of your vehicle. The Coronavirus situation is changing very rapidly and we are grateful for your patience at this difficult time.
