Since unveiling the BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé in 2018, BMW has taken the fusion of luxury driving and racetrack performance to new heights by creating the new M8 Gran Coupé First Edition 1 of 8. Featuring exclusive BMW Individual Manufaktur components, this one-off model is part of a luxury range consisting of only eight cars. One will remain in Germany, while the other seven will journey to England, America, Switzerland, Japan, Belgium, Russia and Qatar. With a BMW Individual paint finish inspired by the Aurora Borealis and yellow corona BMW Laserlights, which are a nod to the BMW M8 GTE endurance grand tourer, the original BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé was always meant to take luxury out of its comfort zone. Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motorshow, it has kept true to its BMW M genes, featuring technology used by the BMW Motorsport team that raced at Le Mans. While the 1 of 8 range with BMW Individual Manufaktur components is not available for sale, there are 400 limited edition BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition vehicles being built globally, with five models available for market launch in the UK – production starts in March 2020.
Premium features will include the BMW Individual Aurora Diamond Green Metallic paint finish, gold bronze details on the BMW kidney grille, side M gills and M light alloy wheels in Y-spoke design, yellow corona BMW Laserlights, and an elegant "First Edition" designation in the centre console.
