INSPIRED BY RUDOLPH, ENGINEERED BY BMW.

It might come as a surprise to know that BMW drivers and Santa Claus have a lot in common, at least when it comes to their discerning taste in transport.

That’s because Santa’s most famous reindeer, Rudolph – and in fact all reindeer – are naturally equipped with the intuitive features and innovative engineering that are the hallmarks of every BMW.

VARIABLE CLIMATE CONTROL.

With one notable exception, reindeer noses don’t glow red. However, due to their ingenious design, they do provide their own version of Variable Climate Control: warming up freezing outside air by almost 70-80 degrees, all in less than a second. Meanwhile, their intelligent thermo-regulating legs help to keep internal temperatures consistent by dispersing excess heat - much like the consistent ambient temperature inside a BMW.

DYNAMIC TRACTION CONTROL.

No matter the season, reindeer are able to stay sure of foot with reindeer-style Dynamic Traction Control that optimises their grip on changing terrain. The secret lies in their intuitively designed hooves, which expand and contract according to the time of year. They increase surface area for better traction in summer, and contract for more nimble footing in winter months. Just as a BMW senses and corrects to keep control and peace of mind.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS.

Much like intelligent the Driver Assistance System has been designed to keep BMW drivers safe and distanced, reindeer herds have developed an original safety system to look out for each other while on the move. Their hooves make an audible clicking sound while walking, to stay safely close to one another and avoid being separated during blizzards.

Meanwhile from us, Rudolph, and reindeer everywhere – we wish you Season’s greetings and a Happy New Year.

BMW technologies are not standard on all vehicles.
