FUTURE BMW i MODELS GET THE COLD TREATMENT.

BMW’s upcoming range of all-electric models, featuring the BMW iX3, BMW i4 and the BMW iNEXT, have all undergone extensive performance tests at the winter test centre in Arjeplog, Sweden.

Situated within the Arctic Circle, Arjeplog allows for specific drive and suspension components to be tested under extreme weather and road conditions.  On the icy surfaces of frozen lakes, on snow and in the bitter cold, the electric motors, the high-voltage batteries and the power electronics of BMW eDrive technology, as well as the suspension control systems, are thoroughly tested to ensure high levels of performance and reliability.

The launch date of the new BMW iX3 is set for 2020, while the new BMW i4 and BMW iNEXT are scheduled for market release in 2021.
